Sierra Leone: Three Test Positive For Covid19 After Niger Game

The Sierra Leone Football Association has confirmed that Captain Umaru Bangura and two members of their National Team Delegation have tested positive for Covid-19 in Niger.

Sierra Leone lost 1-0 to Niger in an international friendly played on Tuesday.

Fitness coach Phillip Kor and Head of Communications for the National Sports Authority Eric Batilo Fomba are the two officials who have also tested positive, the Federation has added.

The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association Madam Johansen is in constant touch with the President of Niger FA monitoring the situation with regards to the rest of the delegation whom it is believed have tested negative.

The President of the Niger FA is expected to communicate a final update and clearance for the rest of the delegation to depart for Freetown on Thursday.

In the meantime the three who have been tested positive have been moved to an isolation quarantine unit.
