Express FC have announced the acquisition of Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko on a one-year contract.
This comes a few days after Juuko was cleared by FIFA to join the six-time league champions.
The centre back has not been in action since leaving his Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca over payments.
“Firstly i want to appreciate the CEO (Isaac Mwesigwa) and the head coach (Wasswa Bbosa) for making this happen, am happy to be here, Express is a big club and it’s current progress speaks for it’self and am sure we going to win silverware this season,” Juuko is quoted by the Express website
The former Vipers defender has also featured for Simba SC and was integral during 2017 and 2019 AFCON.
Juuko has been on the radar of Vipers, KCCA and Asante Kotoko before agreeing terms with the Wankulukuku side.
He is expected to partner Enoch Walusimbi in the heart of defense as Express FC seek to end a title drought for the first time since 2011/12.
Other new signings at the club include Charles Musiige,Godfrey Lwesibawa, Mustafa Kiragga, Mahad Yaya Kakooza among others.
