Ayub Khalifa Returns To Camp After Covid19 Recovery

Uganda Women Under-17 National team coach Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi has recovered from Covid19.

Last Thursday, the tactican via his social media platforms, confirmed to have tested positive.

After self isolation and guidance from the medical team for almost seven days, Khalifa has fully recovered and returned to the team.

“I have now fully recovered and proven negative after under going further tests,” Ayub said on his official pages.

“I have now been cleared to continue with my daily chores, I will rejoin the under 17 women camp preparing for Cameroon.”

“I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the medical team, President of FUFA Moses Magogo, my family and friends who supported me during these trying times, also my gratitude goes to the technical staff and officials who have been handling the team in my absence.”

“I look forward to seeing my entire team again on Saturday 17 october 2020.”

The winner between Uganda and Cameroon after the two legs will qualify directly to Mumbai India where the final tournament will be held in 2021.

Uganda eliminated Ethiopia and Tanzania in the previous round to reach here.

The team has been in the hands of the assistant coach Hadija Namuyanja for the seven days.
