Egyptian giants Al Ahly eased past Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca to reach the CAF Champions League final.
Al Ahly beat Wydad 3-1 in the second leg at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday to complete a double and qualify on a 5-1 aggregate win.
Marwan Mohsen, Hussein Elshahat and a second half header from Yasser Ahmed Ibrahim sealed the win before Substitute Zouheir El Moutaraji scored Wydad’s consolation.
The side, coached by Pitso Mosimane, are chasing a ninth Total CAF Champions League title and their first since 2013.
Ahly looked the better side on the night and could have taken an early lead but Wydad goalkeeper Ahmed Reda denied Junior Ajayi.
At 2-0 in the first half, Al Ahly could have taken a 3-0 cushion into the rest rooms but Mohamed Magdy’s freekick was kept out by Reda.
Al Ahly will wait on the winner between Raja Casablanca and Zamalek, with the later leading 1-0 after the first leg.
