St Mary’s Stadium management has expressed readiness to host Uganda Cranes next month.
Kitende was recently confirmed by CAF to host Uganda Cranes AFCON Qualifiers game against South Sudan on November 9th, 2020.
This, comes after Mandela National Stadium was temporarily turned into a Covid19 medical centre.
St Mary Kitende Stadium is home for 2019/20 Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC.
Stadium manager Edward Junior Mulindwa has told Vipers website that all is set ahead of the Cranes encounter.
“The facilities; from the turf, dressing rooms, parking and routes to the stadium are all set and we are excited to welcome everyone at our home,” Mulindwa has said.
“We have been working and improving on many things in the past few months and we can confirm most of it is done as we prepare for the coming season as well.”
Due to Covid19 pandemic, no fans will be allowed to attend the match at Kitende.
This will be the second time Uganda Cranes will be playing at Kitende after hosting Rwanda in 2018 CHAN Qualifiers.
