Kajoba Misses Cranes Training On Day One

Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba missed the first day as the team kicked off training at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

All the 22 players were present as they were taken through the paces by Coach Jonathan McKinstry alongside his assistants Abdallah Mubiru and Livingston Mbabazi.

The three goalkeepers – Alionzi Nafian, Joel Mutakubwa and Charles Lukwago had to train themselves.

It is said that Kajoba remained at the team hotel after missing the Covid19 testing on Saturday.

The gaffer had his test today morning and has to wait for two days for his results.

The long-serving coach, now at Vipers SC, missed the previous training camp in Dubai last month and was deputised by Ibrahim Mugisha.

Cranes team of locally based players will train this week at Lugogo before five or six are selected to join the 20 foreign-based players to face South Sudan on November 12 at Kitende.
