Mustafa Kizza will don jersey number 12 at his new club Montreal Impact.
The Montreal Impact, a club that plays in Major League Soccer, acquired Kizza from KCCA FC for two years plus three option years.
The left back was to remain with KCCA FC until December, on loan from the Impact, because of the current Covid-19 situation, but was later recalled.
He has been given jersey 12, which was earlier retired for fans.
Kizza donned 12 at KCCa FC, the same number his coach Thierry Henry had for his national team France.
He becomes the second Cranes player in Major League soccer after Chicago Fire’s Michael Azira and the second East African player at Montreal after Kenya’s Victor Wanyama.
The left back started out at KCCA in 2017 with his senior club debut coming against Bright Stars FC at Lugogo on 3 March 2017.
He went on to become an integral part at the club, winning two league titles and a place in CAF Champions League.
