KCCA FC Holds Uganda Cranes In Practice Match

KCCA FC revealed more work for Uganda Cranes coach Jonathan McKinstry after a stalemate in the practice match.

The encounter at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo on Saturday, ended 1-1.

Brian Aheebwa put the Cranes team of locally based players in the lead but Julius Poloto pegged the side back inside the first half.

Mckinstry made overhaul changes in the second stanza but Coach Mike Mutebi’s depleted side proved a hard nut to crack.

KCCA FC’s changes in the second half included the introduction of Filbert Obenchan, Charles Lwanga, Kigozi Andrew and Moses Kalanzi.

Consequently, none of the Cranes players used in the second half later made the final shortlist of seven.

The selected players selected by McKinstry to join the foreign based for South Sudan, include KCCA FC duo Charles Lukwago and Aheebwa, Vipers trio Halid Lwaliwa, Dissan Galiwango and Karim Watambala.

URA FC duo of centre back Patrick Mbowa and midfielder Shafic Kagimu also made the final seven.
