Attacking Midfielder Allan Okello says that the Uganda Cranes are “good to go” ahead of the team’s Monday clash with South Sudan.
The Cranes are already in Kenya ahead of the Group B 2021 AFCON Qualifiers at Nyayo Stadium.
Having needed a late winner at Kitende, the Cranes will have to double their efforts against a resolute and organised South Sudan side.
“We are good to go,” the Paradou AC midfielder said.
“There are good young players here with backup of experienced players.
“Last time it was not easy for us, we made some mistakes which we need to correct this time. Its now time to get back on the pitch and do what it takes to win.
“This is the most important game in this campaign because it may make us qualify to Cameroon, we need the three points.”
Okello came off the bench to replace Emmanuel Okwi in the 55th minute.
The youngster, on his second senior team debut, pumped more life to the game with brilliant drives, silky passes and almost came close to breaking the deadlock with a long range effort that troubled the South Sudan goalkeeper.
The former KCCA FC star player is one of the players expected to start on Monday as Cranes seek for a third straight return to AFCON Finals.
