KCCA FC Battle Back To Edge Uganda Hippos

Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC fought from a goal down before overcoming Uganda Hippos in a practice match on Tuesday at Lugogo.

The Uganda Hippos, the Under-20 national team, got into the lead courtesy of an own goal from Herbert Achai in the first half.

The Hippos suffered a setback when fullback Aziz Kayondo was sent off.

KCCA FC starting pushing forward and were rewarded with penalty but goalkeeper Jack Komakech kept out Julius Poloto from the spot.

Mike Mutebi’s side got the breakthrough thanks to Denis Iguma’s goal before Samson Andrew Samson Kigozi got the winner.

KCCA are preparing for the league kickoff in early December while the Hippos are set to leave for Cecafa U20 Championship.

The tourney will be staged in Arusha, Tanzania from November 23rd to 6th December 2020.
