Uganda’s National team is set to lose battle in pursuit of young goalkeeper Ovie Ejeheri.
The youngster, who plies his trade with Arsenal Youth, is eligible to play for Uganda, Nigeria and England.
He was born in London to a Nigerian father and a Ugandan mother.
The teenager has been invited to England’s December training camp for Goalkeepers, and may represent the country at the 2021 FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
According to his interview with Goal, Ovie has no plans for Uganda!
“My goal in the next three years is to play regular first-team football at club level and represent England or Nigeria at international level,” Ovie says.
“I look forward to the challenges of professional and international football at the highest level.”
Ejeheri has been at Arsenal since the age of five.
