Uganda Hippos beat hosts Tanzania 4-1 to win the CECAFA U20 Championship in Arusha.
Richard Basangwa, Steven Sserwadda, Ivan Bogere and Kenneth Semakula were on target for the Hippos.
Abdul Suleiman Hamis scored a consolation for Tanzania at the half-hour mark.



Both sides came into the game having sealed the two available CECAFA slots for 2021 AFCON U20 Championship set in Mauritania.
Uganda achieves the milestone having drawn their opener against South Sudan with a man down (Musa Ramathan red card) in the group opener.
The side beat Burundi to top group B before overcoming Kenya at the semifinal stage.



Bogere finished as the tournament top scorer with 5 goals and South Sudan’s goalkeeper Simon Jackson was best goalkeeper of the tournament.
Uganda is the reigning CECAFA Champion in U-15 (boys), U-17 (Girls), U-17 (Boys), CECAFA Kagame Club Cup (KCCA Football Club) and the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup (Uganda Cranes).
