Two Missed Penalties As Mbarara Fight Back Against URA

There were two missed penalties, each from either side, as Mbarara City and URA FC settled for a point at Kakyeka Stadium.

Mbarara’s Bashir Mutanda hit the post from the spot in the 22nd minute and URA FC could later punish them when Steven Mukwala scored eight minutes later thanks to an assist from Joachim Ojera.

Mukwala had a chance to double the lead in the 48th minute but saw his penalty saved by Muhammad Ssekeba.

Mutanda later redeemed himself when he set Jude Ssemugabi to score an equaliser with nine minutes left to play.

Earlier in the 63rd minute, Mukwala’s header was kept out by an outstanding Ssekeba off Brian Majwega delivery.

Next week on Tuesday, Mbarara City is on the road to face SC Villa while URA will be in Ndejje to host Soltilo Bright stars FC on Wednesday next week.
