CECAFA U17: FUFA President’s Son Makes Cubs Final Squad

FUFA President Moses Magogo’s son, Shafic Magogo, has been named in Uganda Cubs final squad for the upcoming CECAFA U17 Championship.

Magogo, is one of the six forwards on the team named by Coach Hamza Lutalo, and his assistant Brian Ssenyondo.

The youngster, a student at Kibuli SS, was part of the Uganda Under-15 team that played in CECAFA U15 in Eritrea.

Uganda Cubs will travel to Rwanda on Monday night, FUFA has confirmed.

The CECAFA Under 17 Championship is slated for December 13 to 28 in Rwanda.

The two best teams will qualify to represent the zone in the Africa Cup of Nations U17 tournament which will be held in Morocco in 2021.

The zonal Qualifiers groups have been revised, with Uganda pitted in Group A alongside Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia.

Group B has hosts Rwanda, Tanzania, Sudan and Djibouti.
