Joseph Ssemujju scored an hat-trick as BUL FC overcame Busoga United in an Eastern Derby encounter on Match-day two of the Uganda Premier League.
Ssemujju came into the game on the back of a player-of-the-match performance against Villa and handed his side a 1-0 lead from the spot at the stroke of halftime after an hand ball.
He doubled the lead just after the hour mark before sealing his hat-trick on the day in the 70th minute.
The former SC Villa, Express, Proline and Vipers attacking midfielder could have scored more on the day but missed a tap in at close range before he was substituted for Ibrahim Mugulusi.
Busoga missed from the spot on the day, with Anthony Mayanja fluffing his penalty in the 78th minute.
The victory is a big boost for BUL who lost to Busoga home and away last season.
Busoga has lost their two opening games after falling 4-0 to UPDF FC in the opener at Bombo.
What Next – Busoga FC will seek for resuscitation when they host Kyetume FC this Friday while BUL visit UPDF the following day.
