Preview – Mutebi Or Ssimbwa?

This promises to be a pulsating affair at Lugogo as two of the most respected coaches Mike Mutebi and Sam Ssimbwa meet.

Both have enormous respect for each other. The two animated gaffers worked together at Lugogo before Ssimbwa was dismissed in mysterious circumstances.

Mutebi has demanded a reaction from his players after a poor show in the loss to Villa at Bombo as they target return to winning ways.

But against URA, they will be facing their most difficult opponent this campaign and a big precursor for their CAF Confederation Cup encounter against AS Kigali.

URA have ball-playing midfielders, very creative and takes the ball to an opponent. Mukwala scored twice against BUL and will be pumped up for the occasion while Joachim Ojera is in the form of his life.

Ssimbwa’s problems will be at the back. Makeshift left back Brian Majwega looks very good going forward but vulnerable in defence while Benjamin Nyakoojo and Patrick Mbowa have not played so many games together this season and are yet to find the right chemistry.

For the hosts, they will have Brian Aheebwa and Sam Ssenyonjo shoulder their scoring burdens but the attacking midfielders notably Keziron Kizito will have to give them constant supply.

This is the battle that will be won in the midfield, and URA FC has the best armour, but whoever takes his chances will leave Lugogo smiling.
