Uganda Cranes: Mckinstry Summons 28 Players Ahead Of CHAN

Uganda Cranes head coach Johnathan McKinstry has summoned a provisional squad of 28 players to start the preparations for CHAN.

The squad, however, doesn’t include KCCA FC players who will be traveling to Rwanda for their CAF Confederation Cup duty.

Uganda was invited for a Pre-Chan mini tournament due January 1-7, 2021 in Cameroon alongside hosts, Zambia and Niger.

The participants of the Pre CHAN tourney are expected in Cameroon on December 29, 2020.

According to FUFA website, the squad will enter residential camp on Sunday, 20th December 2020.

Experienced players Shaban Mohammed and Tony Mawejje return to the Cranes fold while Uganda U-20 trio of Aziz Kayondo, Ivan Bogere and Bobosi Byaruhanga have been included.

The squad also include BUL FC forward Joseph Ssemujju and Police FC defenders Eric Ssenjobe and Hassan Muhamood.
