UPL Pilsner Coach Of December Nominees Revealed

Nominees for the Pilsner coach of the month of December are out.

There are two nominees – URA FC’s Sam Ssimbwa and UPDF FC’s Kefa Kisala.

Ssimbwa will be looking forward to repeat what he did in January when he beat Abbey Kikomeko of Busoga United and Paul Kiwanuka who was then on Bright Stars to win the same award.

Before January this year, Ssimbwa had won the same award in March 2019.

Ssimbwa is yet to lose a game this season, having drawn the first two games and winning the consecutive three including KCCA FC and Villa SC in five games played so far.

URA FC is in second on the log with 11 points, just one behind table leaders UPDF FC. They have scored seven goals conceded four.

On the other hand, Kisala has led the newly promoted UPDF FC at the top of the UPL log at the moment after five games.

Kisala joined the army side as New coach following a couple of months jobless after being sacked at Wakiso Giants in November last year after a production of unconvincing results.

After five games in charge, Kisala has won four and lost one, putting the side at the top of the log with 12 points, scored 11 goals, concending only 3.

The last awards to be held, were won by Abbey Bogere Kikomeko for the month of February after beating Edward Kaziba.
