The Federation of Motorsport clubs of Uganda (FMU) signed a partnership agreement with Development Infrastructure Limited that will kick start the development of a Motorsport facility in Arua City.
The facility will be designed to host Motorsport events in all descplines i.e Rallying, Motorcycling, Drifting, Vintage Karting etc.
The initiative that has commenced with the signing of a partnership agreement with Development Infrastructure Limited at the silver Springs Hotel Kampala is a move by Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda to take the sport to all parts of the country in a drive to promote grassroot participation but as well bring Motorsport as a form of Entertainment closer to all Ugandans in Various parts of the country.
“We also without doubt see the move as yet another interaction to stimulate local businesses in the areas we identify as we all know that the fans that visit these areas will directly impact on the local Tourism, businesses in the entertainment and Service industry to included Hotels, Restruants, night clubs, fuel companies, Telecom Companies, Breweries and beverages companies, insurance company, to mention but a few.Motorsport can be a business stimulator,” Liala Manyanja, General Secretary FMU said.
Arua City is approximately 495 kilometers by road North West of Kampala city and has great potential for tourism exhibit from its numerous sites.
Arua also exhibits a vibrant trading community that stretches into the Democratic Republic of Congo and Southern Sudan.
No doubt its people are very welcoming and love entertainment.
Development Infrastructure Limited is one of the pioneers in infrastructure development in Uganda.
The company represented by the founder and managing director Mr.Joel Aita Prides itself of vast experience and knowledge in identifying projects and successfully demonstrating its execution ability in the Greenfield and Brownfield infrastructure space of building in Uganda.
