*Kyadondo 2-1 Kooki
Kyadondo have registered their first win in their second game of the Masengere group against kooki at the ongoing Masaza Cup.
Kyadondo had lost their first game to Bugerere 2-0 and they needed to bounce back with a win.
Kalvin Peter Emayu scored a brace while Masikirano Anthony Ssekidde’s goal was a consolation for Kooki.
The loss all but ends Kooki’s qualification hopes to the next stage.
It was a hard fought win, with Kooki proving to be a hard nut to crack throughout the entire minutes for the game.
In the 3rd minute of the game, Emayu gave Kyadondo the lead thanks to Otim Andrew’s assist that cut across the defence to find him well positioned to score the opener.
Kooki dominated the rest of the minutes but couldn’t break through as they strived to avoid their second loss from as many games.
In the 45th minute, Otim could have doubled the lead when he found himself in a one-on-one situation with Kooki’s goalkeeper but fluffed his chance.
In the 54th minute Ssekidde scored from a spot to level matters for Kooki.
Emayu sealed his brace in the 65th minute, which later proved to the winner, after a powerful shot that eluded the Kooki keeper.
Otim could later miss another keeper to beat chance when he sent his effort wide.
Kooki had earlier lost to Mawokota on Thursday and remain without a point ahead of their last group game on Monday against Bugerere.
Kyadondo move to three points in two games played so far and will face Mawokota.
