Buddu Confirm Two Positive Covid19 Cases, Financial Struggles

Buddu team has confirmed two players have tested positive for Covid19.

The development was confirmed by the team’s chairman Joseph Lutaaya.

Lutaaya, however, didn’t reveal the names of the two players, and this leaves the team with 14 players ahead of their matches in Muganzirwaza group.

“We tested our 16 players for Covid19 last Thursday and the initial test had six players testing positive and all started their medication and self isolation,” Lutaaya told Buddu FM.

“After sometime, we tested the six players again and on a good note, four returned negative tests.

“So, it means that we will have 14 players to Njeru, and are undergoing training at Rays of Grace pitch in Kangurumira to have a feel of the AstroTurf.”

Buddu is expected to arrive in Njeru on Tuesday.

The chairman revealed financial struggles: “We are constrained by finances. For a team to go to Njeru, they should be dressed in a truck suit which we currently don’t have among other necessities, due to finances.”
