Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC has confirmed the contractor for the proposed construction of MTN Omondi stadium after the bidding process.
The contacted company is Sarjan Construction, founded in 2003 as a civil and building construction company.
The club is set to redevelop the StarTimes Stadium Lugogo in a project that will cost around Sh10bn.
“We are pleased to inform the public that Sarjan Construction was selected as the contractors
for the scheduled construction works of MTN Omondi stadium,” the club has said in a statement.
“The site has been handed over to Sarjan Contstruction to commence works for the first phase of construction.”
KCCA FC expects the work to last a period of 18 months (one and half year).
As highlighted earlier, the stadium will be known as MTN Omondi stadium after MTN and KCCA FC inked a ten year partnership for the naming rights.
The state of the art of stadium will have a mega complex, club museum, floodlights among others.
