Opportune Moment For Magogo To Leave – Misagga

Football administrator Ben Misagga has asked Moses Magogo to abdicate his FUFA throne.

The former SC Villa president says that now is the right time for Magogo to leave after he was voted into Parliament.

Magogo will represent the people of Budiope East in the 11th Parliament.

“This is the opportune moment for Magogo to let go his hold in FUFA to allow new blood take over from him,” Misagga said.

“No doubt he has steadied the national team, but his policies on domestic football leave a lot to be desired.”

Misagga is a big critic of the FUFA president.

Magogo, now an MP, will retain his seat at FUFA and has overtime said that his move to join politics is intended at lobbying more funds for the Sports sector among others.

Misagga, as well, says that the move by Sports men including Magogo will improve the sector.

He added: “Sports has greatly been overlooked  but in Magogo, Sewanyana (Allan), Kayemba Solo, Obua (Hamson), I have a gut feeling we shall hear a lot about sports on the floor of parliament.

“I took no time to send my congrats to Magogo, almost in an instant, he replied and told me: ‘This victory is for all of us in sports. This melted my heart because my relationship with Magogo is a bitter-sweet one full of highs and lows.”
