CHAN 2020: DR Congo Camp Hit With Covid19 Again

Three DR Congo players have tested positive of covid-19 again ahead of their last group against Niger today.

This is the third time the team has registered positive cases during the ongoing 2020 CHAN tournament in Cameroon.

They missed five players ahead of the first group game and later lost four players including head coach for the second match.

The three affected players are Nathan Mabruki (GK), William Likuta Luezi and Ricky Tulengi who tested positive for COVID-19 and are ruled out of today’s game against Niger.

The good news is the players that had tested positive in the first game have recovered, African Journalist Nuuhu from Ghana has reported.

DRC are top of group B with four points, two ahead of Niger and will go through if they avoid a defeat.

They are the most successful team at the African nation championship having lifted the title in 2009 and 2016.
