Express FC are set to complete the signing of former SC Villa winger Martin Kizza.
Kizza is understood to have agreed terms with the Red Eagles and will jet into the country later this week to seal the move.
According to a reliable source, the 23-year old will sign a short-term deal with the Wankulukuku based side with an option of leaving once he gets an offer outside the country.
The left-footed winger left Uganda in 2019 to join then-ABSA Premiership side Free State Stars but after just a single season, he moved to the second division and signed for Royal Eagles FC on a two-year deal.
However, things have not worked out like expected and will now return home and sign for Express FC.
If he seals the move, he will join a list of a few special players who have played for all three VEK clubs in SC Villa, Express FC and KCCA FC.
He started out at KCCA FC in the 2014/15 season before moving to Villa where he spent three seasons.
It was after the three trophyless years that Kizza decided to venture into professional football, moving south of the continent to South Africa.
At Express FC, he will join Muzamir Mutyaba as their two January signings and if it all goes to plan, Vipers SC defender Geoffrey Wasswa will also soon be joining them.
Express are currently in 6th position having gathered eight points from their opening four games of the 2020/21 season.
The Red Eagles next fixture will be a home game against the defending champions Vipers on Wednesday, February 09.
