Arua Hill Sign Former Onduparaka FC Defender

FUFA Big League side Arua Hill SC have signed former Onduparaka defender Muhammad Rashid.

Rashid who was recently playing for Kyetume FC completed his move on Tuesday, February 2, signing a two year contract with the Arua Based side.

Head coach Hussein Mbalangu said Rashid’s arrival is a big addition to their defence, as quoted by Arua Hill SC media.

“It is very important and I’m happy with the management for having secured Rashid’s signature since we were missing some maturity in the defence. Said Mbalangu.

“We have many good defenders but only Mike Kawooya and Simba Sabir have maturity, and Isaac Okello is injured. With problems like injury and cards, it is key that this move had to happen.

“I have seen Rashid play for Onduparaka and even captained the team, his addition in the unit is going to strengthen the defence because we aim to play without conceding goals.

“The best team must have a very good defence, so we are very happy with him, we welcome him to the Kongolo family and expect him to do more to strengthen the team at large.”

Rashid is the latest signing for the Kongolo Boys as they seek to boost their squad ahead of the start of the FUFA big league.

Arua Hill will host their games at Barifa Stadium in Arua, as they target promotion to the Uganda Premier League.
