The Uganda Hippos will resume training of Friday, February 05 ahead of their second game at the AFCON U20 mini tournament.
Morley Byekwaso’s side will once again take on Tanzania on Saturday evening at the Azam Sports Complex in Chamazi, having defeated the same side 1-0, three days earlier thanks to a Richard Basangwa goal.
The two nations meet again following Namibia’s withdrawal from the tournament.
Namibia who were supposed to be the third nation at the tournament, were forced to withdrawn after accumulating a number of covid-19 cases in their squad.
After the game on Saturday, the Hippos will head for the AFCON U20 in Mauritania on February 10.
The tournament-proper will kick of on the 15th on February.
Uganda are drawn in group A with hosts Mauritania, Cameroon and Mozambique.
