Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa says his side commands respect to Vipers SC but his side is not scared of the Venoms.
The two sides will meet in a match-day two rescheduled fixture on Tuesday, February 09, at the Betway Mutessa II stadium in Wankulukuku.
Speaking during the pre-match press conference, Bbosa who re-joined Express, last year, says that his side is ready to face Vipers.
“First of all we are well prepared ahead of the Vipers game. Said Bbosa.
“It has been a while since we played a competitive game but we have been training well and we are ready for the challenge ahead.
“We are at our home , we have tried to rectifying our previous mistakes and it showed in our previous game here against Villa as we did not concede and that was one of our problems at the start but a least, now we’ve worked on it in this short spell and also having our offensive forces better.
“I am thankful to the management of the club for the proper programming during the time when the league was off and we utilized the time well and now we good to go.
Vipers has always been a complicated task for Express as they have failed to triumph over the Venoms since 2016.
In that period, Express have lost four times and managing just two draws.
Despite the poor recent history against Vipers, Bbosa is optimistic about his side’s chances.
“Yes Express hasn’t won a game against Vipers since 2016 but we are prepared and our fans should expect a win.
“Vipers is a good team with good players but we also have good players.
“Them scoring 7 goals is okay because they did not score them against us and we are ready to stop them at our home.”
Express FC are 7th on the Uganda premier league table with eight points from four games played after registering two victories and as many draws.
The last time the Red Eagles beat Vipers was under Bbosa, in September 2016, thanks to a Derrick Tekwo strike.
