Veteran Volleyball player Hamza Lubwama is the new KAVC president.
The development was reached during a recent club annual Annual General Meeting.
Lubwama was unopposed and takes over from Milly Kure who has been at the helm of the club from 2019.
“It gives me great pleasure to hand over the mandate to my Vice President, he understands the club’s direction and we expect him to deliver” Said Milly Kure after the elections.
KAVC celebrated 50-years of existence, but the activities were hampered by the outbreak of COVID-19.
“The Vision of the club is clear and my executive will aim at delivering on that front, but key is the return to continental Volleyball for our teams”. Lubwama said.
Lubwama was also elected alongside other club members, notable the return of 1st female President of the Club, Florence Nanyondo to the fold; Nanyondo was elected as the Women’s Manager.
The AGM was also attended by NCS Chairman, Don Rukare, UVF 2nd Vice president, Salma Kairungi Otika and UWBF General Secretary Joseph Collins Ssemmanda.
