UPL: Onduparaka Fight Back To Share Spoils With Busoga

Friday, February 12
*Mbarara City 0-1 Wakiso Giants
*Onduparaka 1-1 Busoga
*Police 3-1 Kyetume

Onduparaka and Busoga United played out a one all draw in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game at AbaBet Greenlight Stadium in Arua.

The visitors were on course for maximum points thanks to Shaka Ssozi’s early goal in the ninth minute, with the striker finishing brilliantly on his debut.

However, they were pegged back when Franco Balabala was judged to have handled Rashid Okocha’s header inside the forbidden area for Kabon Livin to level matters in the 65th minute from the spot.

Busoga United’s best chance to put the game to bed came in the 50th minute when Magero Franco Balabala headed wide but the hosts dominated proceedings and will feel its two points lost.

Douglas Muganga cleared off the line to deny Gabriel Matata while goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa denied Kabon from a well taken freekick.

Onduparaka remain without a win at home but move to nine points from the Six games.

Busoga United, yet to win a game this season, have collected two points.

What Next – Onduparaka visit UPDF in Bombo as Busoga host Bright Stars on Matchday seven.
