Joseph Akandwanaho starred with three goals as Soltilo Bright Stars proved too good for Kitara FC in a league game at Kavumba Recreation Ground.

The former Nyamityobora man scored his first at the stroke of halftime and later added the other two minutes from restart before claiming the match ball in the 67th minute.

Marvin Joseph who scored the opener in the seventh minute, scored a brace in the commanding win.

The victory, second for Bright Stars, sends the club to 10th with eight points.

It was another horrible performance for the newcomers who had Emmanuel Opio in goal as they started life without striker Brian Mululi.

Kitara remain rooted at the bottom with just a point having conceded a league high 21 goals from six games.

Since drawing 1-1 against Kyetume, the newcomers have lost five straight.
