Wakiso Giants forward Kipson Atuheire says he is delighted after scoring his first goal for his new side.
The former SC Villa forward scored on his debut in the 57th minute away to Mbarara City FC as Wakiso Gaints earned their first maximum points in the league courtesy of a 1-0 score line.
“I am delighted with a goal on my début. Kipson told the club website
“As a forward, my job is to score goals and hopefully this is the first of many more to come.”
Only Ibrahim Kasule and Viane Ssekajugo (2) have scored more goals for Wakiso Giants this season than Atuhaire.
After six games, the purple sharks are 11th on the Uganda premier league table with 8 points.
Wakiso Giants will be locking horns with record league holders SC Villa on match day 7 at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium next Wednesday.
