Preview – Battle Of Strugglers

Both sides are yet to pick their first win of the season after six previous attempts.

Kitara FC come into the game on the back of a humiliating 5-0 loss to Bright Stars at Kavumba while Mbarara City lost 1-0 to Wakiso Giants at Kakyeka.

Kitara are destined for a straight return to FUFA Big League unless they start putting points in the bag especially against sides they are supposed to beat.

Not playing at their own home has contributed to their immediate collapse but the quality of their squad depth leaves a lot to be desired as well.

They sit rock bottom with just a point from their match day one draw against Kyetume FC and have lost all their subsequent five games.

The Ankole Lions on the other hand, will continue to be without head coach Ssenyondo and the return of Sadick Ssempigi did not yield results against Wakiso.

They could have squeezed a point off Wakiso if Jude Ssemugabi scored from the penalty mark.

The departure of Ibrahim Orit and Brian Aheebwa was a big indicator of how they will struggle to get goals but on the other hand, they have conceded a goal or more in all their six games this season.

How To Watch: The match will be broadcast live on Sanyuka TV, courtesy of league headline Sponsors StarTimes Uganda.
