Preview

Police are continuing to enjoy a decent start to the campaign as they come into Tuesday’s game in second spot on the log.

The Cops have been impressive in their first six games, winning four games and losing just once to accumulate 13 points.

They sit just a point off top spot and know that victory will see them move top if Vipers does not win away to Kyetume on the same day.

Having beaten Kyetume in their last game, head coach Abdallah Mubiru is optimistic his side can get all three points of Onduparaka.

“We thank God for whatever he has enabled us to do. Mubiru noted in his pre-match comments.

“We just finished our on-field preparations are done and everyone looked very fine apart from the injured players.

“I can only say that we have a good group of players from whom we will select a team and hopefully we win.”

Against BUL FC, Police faces a side beaming with confidence and have fancied themselves against the league big guns already.

They beat up on KCCA FC 2-1 in their last chance and will head to Lugogo hoping to make it two victories on the trot since the league returned.

BUL start the day in 12th spot with just 7 points from their first six games and have lost thrice already this campaign.

Victory on Tuesday may see the Jinja based side climb as high as 7th if the other results-on-the-day go their way.

The Stats

This will be the 18th meeting between the two sides since September 2011.

In the previous 17 encounters, BUL have won 8 while Police have triumphed on just 4 occasions with the other 5 all ending in draws.

BUL are currently on a six game winning run against Police and have not lost in any of the two sides’ past 7 meetings.

Last season, BUL beat Police 2-0 in the only fixture the two played before the league was halted due to the global Coronavirus.
