Yunus Ssentamu scored a late freekick as Vipers picked a point off Kyetume FC in a league game at FUFA Technical centre in Njeru.
The Venoms twice came from down to rescue a point.
Kyetume led through Yusuf Ssaka but Vipers had Paul Mucureezi to thank when he pounced home from close range after goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa failed to punch away.
Ssentamu scored from a freekick resulting from a foul on Mohammed Shaban with two minutes to spare.
The Slaughters had regained control through Richard Matovu just five minutes into the second half.
Ssentamu, who marked his debut with a brace against MYDA, has now scored four goals for the Venoms.
Fred Kajoba once again made some changes to the team that beat UPDF but couldn’t get this going after a slow start.
Joseph Dhata was taken off for Ibrahim Orit in the 25th minute as the side tried to pressure Kyetume’s defence.
Mutakubwa was outstanding on the day for Kyetume after denying Ssentamu and David Bagoole earlier in the first half.
Vipers drop to third having entered Matchday seven as group leaders and will look to make amends when they host Police and BUL.
Kyetume, eighth with 10 points, face a long trip to Arua where they will face Onduparaka on Matchday seven.
