The Confederations of African Football (CAF) has handed Gambian officials the task of overseeing Uganda’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
This was confirmed on Thursday, February 18th as CAF listed the officials on duty in the upcoming AFCON qualification window.
Uganda will take on Burkina Faso in their next group B game in Kampala on Wednesday, March 26.
The Centre referee will be Papa Gassama and he will be assisted by fellow Gambians Bollel Jawo and Sulayman Sosseh as the first and second assistants.
Another Gambian Maudo Jallow will be the fourth official while Masamba Malunga of the DR Congo will be the match commissioner.
James Sekajugo of Uganda has also been named as the COVID-19 officer for the game.
This will be Uganda’s 5th game at the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
The Cranes are currently 2nd on the four-team group B log with seven points, one adrift of leaders Burkina Faso.
