After a painful loss to Vipers in their last game, Police will hope to erase those memories with victory against Onduparaka on Wednesday.
The Cops were defeated in Kitende after goal keeper Ochan was controversially sent off in the first half with Abdallah Mubiru’s side leading.
It was their just their second loss of the season and they will hope that was a temporary blip in what is promising to be a good campaign.
Returning to Lugogo will be a decent sight for Abdallah Mubiru’s side who have won all of their past three games there, scoring eight goals and conceding just once.
Starting the day, Police sit third on the log, five points adrift of the leaders Vipers and three behind second places Express FC.
Against Onduparaka, Mubiru anticipates a difficult contest.
“Onduparaka have picked form of recent and i am sure they will come confident after winning their last contest.
“We know they are a good team but i am sure our ambitions are bigger than theirs.”
The Caterpillars will indeed ask questions of Police as they have picked up form of late.
After losing 8-0 to KCCA FC on match-day two, they have gone on a six-game unbeaten run, winning four and drawing the other two.
In their last two games, Onduparaka have won both games and will be attempting to make it three victories in as many games.
At the start of the day, they sit 6th on the log but three points could see them climb as high as third if the other day’s results go their way.
This will be the 8th meeting between the two sides.
This match-up has never produced a draw.
Onduparaka have been dominant against Police, winning six of the past seven meetings and losing just once.
Police’s only victory against the Caterpillars came in the last game the two played at Lugogo.
Last season, Onduparaka beat Police 3-0 in the two sides’ only meeting before the campaign was ended prematurely.
