Hard Work Is Taking Me To New Heights – Ssenjobe

Police FC defender Eric Ssenjobe says he is forced to work extremely hard so as to put up consistent performances.

The in-form left back, who joined Police from KCCA at the start of the season was once again among the goal scorers in the 3-1 win over Onduparaka on Wednesday.

Ssenjobe who has never been known for his goal-scoring netted off an overhead kick to temporarily make the score 2-1 in his side’s favour.

The goal took his season’s tally to three and he is currently the highest scoring full-back in the Uganda Premier League.

He also scored once each against MYDA FC and Vipers SC.

Speaking about his form, Ssenjobe noted that it only encourages him to work harder so as to move to new levels.

“Am very happy because it gives me moral and encouragement to keep working very hard to so as to remain on-form. He said.

“Being a defender and scoring goal elaborates a good image to your bosses and also takes you to greater levels as a player.”

Ssenjobe is slowly finding a home way Express after a difficult period at KCCA that saw him fail to tie down a starting role in the side.

With goals coming for him, he doesn’t expect to slow down anytime soon.

“It was the mercy of God (that i scored) but what I can tell you is to expect more goals this season.

“The truth is I had never scored such goals, even in training, but all thanks goes to God.”

Ssenjobe is expected to return to action on Saturday afternoon as his Police side travels away to Bright Stars FC in their UPL match-day 10 fixture.
