Mbarara City Put Three Past Kyetume FC To Record First Home Win

Mbarara City beat Kyetume FC 3-1 in the Uganda Premier League match played at Kakyeka stadium on Saturday.

Forwards Wol Makueth, Swalik Bebe and debutant Henry Kitegenyi scored a goal each to ensure victory for the Ankole lions.

Mbarara city came into the game on the back of a 1-0 loss away from home to UPDF FC earlier in the week but proved too strong for Kyetume who had drawn against Bright Stars FC in the last game.

After a barren first half, Kitegenyi who was making his debut broke the deadlock for the hosts in the 48th minute.

Two minutes before the hour mark, Bebe doubled the hosts advantage and put them on course to three points.

Wol put the icing on the cake in the 66th minute as the hosts claimed their first home league win of the campaign.

After match-day 10 Kyetume FC dropped to 11th on the Uganda premier league table with 11points.

Mbarara City after recording their second league, they are now 13th on the log with 10 points.

Mbarara City FC play away to Police FC on match day 11 well as Kyetume FC host SC Villa.
