Team News

  • Police will be without Samuel Kayongo, Fahad Kizito, Tonny Mawejje, Ben Ocen, Edward Kiryowa, Bashir Kabuye and Timothy Oyamo who are all injured.

Police will play host to Mbarara City in the StarTimes Uganda Premier league TV game at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

The Kops will seek to bounce back and return to winning ways after drawing 2-2 with Bright Stars to remain winless in last three league games.

Abdallah Mubiru’s charges needed Brian Mululi’s brace to salvage a point at Kavumba.

Against Mbarara, there will be no room for error for coach Abdallah whose side is targeting top places this season.

They sit 5th with 20 points, 10 above Mbarara City in 13th.

Mbarara City picked their first home win at Kakyeka courtesy of a 3-1 victory against Kyetume.

Forwards Wol Makueth, Swalik Bebe and debutant Henry Kitegenyi scored a goal each to ensure victory for the Ankole lions.

In their last meeting, Brian Aheebwa scored the only goal as Mbarara City beat Police 1-0 at Kakyeka.
