UPL: MYDA Fight Back To Hold Kitara In Tororo

Friday, March 5
*Express 1-0 Busoga
*KCCA 6-1 UPDF
*Myda 2-2 Kitara
*URA SC 2-0 Kyetume

Uganda Premier League battle of relegation contenders MYDA and Kitara ended in a stalemate.

Nothing could separate the two strugglers at the King George IV Memorial Stadium in Tororo as both sides remain winless and rooted at the league bottom.

Hosts MYDA however needed to come from two down to snatch a point.

Kitara took an early lead when Zakayo Kizito bundled home from close range after a well taken corner.

The Visitors extended their lead in the 46th minute when Nathan Oloro robbed Isma Mafabi of possession before rounding the goalkeeper to slot home.

MYDA halved the deficit from the spot in the 67th minute through Ibrahim Nsimbe and later, Moses Batali grabbed a late equaliser in the 90th minute mark.

Mubiru Yasin (Kitara) and Isma Mafabi (MYDA) were sent off late in the game as both sides finished a man down.

The draw, is the third for MYDA and second for Kitara after 12 league games.

What Next For Both Sides – MYDA visit Busoga United while Kitara host Wakiso next week.
