Preview – Both Sides Hoping To Bounce Back

Bright Stars put up a spirited fight but eventually lost 2-0 away to Vipers SC in their last game.

This was their first loss since match-day three after going on a seven-game unbeaten run.

It also meant that they have not won any of their past three league games having drawn all two prior to the defeat.

On Saturday, they will be hoping to return to winning ways and improve their tally of 14 points that sees them sit in 9th spot.

Since the opening loss to URA FC, Baker Mbowa’s side has gone on a four match unbeaten run at home (W3 D1) and will bank on that recent good form at Kavumba to try and topple Onduparaka.

The visitors too are gunning for victory after losing their last three games against Police, Vipers and BUL.

The poor form ended a mid-March unbeaten run that has seen the Arua based side gather 14 points from a possible 18.

Onduparaka are traditionally not good travellers but that looks to be changing as they have won three of their five games on the road this season.

However, they lost 3-1 at Police in the last game they played away from the Green Light Stadium.

The Stats

This will be the 8th meeting between the two sides since August 2016.

In the previous seven meetings, Bright Stars have won three and lost only once.

Last season, Mbowa’s side overcame the Caterpillars 1-0 in their only meeting of the 2019/20 campaign.

This fixture has never produced an away victory.
