Uganda Premier League
BUL FC 0-1 Wakiso Giants FC
Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe
Vianne Ssekajugo scored with just a minute to play as Wakiso Giants scraped to a 1-0 victory away to BUL FC on Saturday afternoon.
With the game headed for a goalless draw, Ssekajugo collected from the impressive Alex Komakech before netting his first goal since the league resumed, last month.
He had also had a goal disallowed in the second minute as the Purple Sharks tried to get out of the blocks as fast as they could.
BUL will feel it is a point lost as they looked to have done enough to earn a draw.
Time wasting antics highlighted the last few minutes of the game as Wakiso players occasionally found the deck and signalled for medical attention and eventual man of the match-Samson Kirya would be booked late in the contest for delaying a restart.
This is Wakiso’s first victory in six games and their second since the start of the season.
The three points see them climb into 9th with 15 points.
For BUL, they have now lost seven of their opening 12 games and drop to 11th with 13 points.
In their next fixtures, BUL are away to Bright Stars FC on Wednesday while Wakiso visits Kitara FC on the same day, in a lunch time kick off.
