Ssenkaba, Mucurezi Nominated For UPL Player Of The Month

Injured Express FC striker George Ssenkaba has been nominated for the monthly Player of the Month.

Ssenkaba was in decent form in the past month but sadly, got injured on Wednesday as his side defeated Kitara 1-0 at Kavumba.

The former SC Villa striker scored five goals in February, putting himself in the conversation of the best player of the month.

The others joining him are Vipers SC’s Paul Mucurezi and Police FC striker Brian Mululi.

Mucureezi at Vipers, scored four goals and assisted two others last month.

Despite spending most of the month, coming off the bench, the forward has impressed and it comes as no surprise that he is on the list.

Mululi on the other hand, managed five goals including one on his debut against Kyetume FC.

Having netted three for Kitara FC prior to joining Police in January, Mululi now leads the scoring charts with 8 goals.

All three will tussle it out for the gong that is handed out at the beginning of every month.

In the last UPL player awards held in January, KCCA’s Brian Aheebwa was voted best ahead of UPDF’s Brian Kalumba and Ben Ocen of Police FC.

The winner walks away with a cash prize of One Million Shillings(Shs 1m) and plaque.
