We Have Not Released Denis Balungu – Betway Power

Betway Power basketball club claims that Denis Balungu is still contracted at the club despite being unveiled at KIU Titans.

Balungu made a return to KIU after the Kansanga based side announced his arrival on a two-year deal.

He left the club in 2019 to sign a one-year contract with Betway Power.

However, he leaves Power having not played competitive basketball since the league was suspended days to tip off due to Covid19.

Philip Kyomuhendo, Manager at Betway Power, says that Balungu’s contract had to be pushed for a year!

“Well he signed for power last season after KIU released him the season before and as you all know last season didn’t happen so the contract was pushed to the next season which is this one, so he is a power player who needs a release,” Kyomuhendo told The-SportsNation.

“He is still a power player, we have not released him.”

Balungu, one of the finest three-point shooters in the league, says that “I was not paid at Power for a whole year.”

He returns to KIU Titans, who recently unveiled a three-man board, where he won runners up medal after falling to City Oilers in the 2017 NBL finals.
