All Africa Games Bronze Medalist Struggling To Make Ends Meet

Hellen Baleke, Uganda’s Bronze medalist at the 2019 All Africa Games in Morocco is a lady drowning in a flood of financial problems.

The 33-year-old All Africa Games Champion purglist lives in the flirty areas of Katanga slums in Kawempe division where she survives with her children and mother.

Baleke admits that she is struggling to make ends meet.

While talking to Uganda Radio Network ( URN) about his tramatic ordeal, Baleke reaveled how she is failing to make ends meet, adding that her house is prone to floods whenever it rains.

She stated that she used the allowances and bouneses collected from different fights to start a tailoring school.

The project however didn’t live to see its first birthday as her landlord impounded most of the tailoring equipment due to accumulation of rent arrears thanks to the out break of Covid-19.

Uganda Boxing Federation President Charles Muhangi recently paid a courstery visit to Baleke’s home and offered her 1 million cash money to renovate her house.

Muhangi was steady fast to call upon the government, corporate companies and individual well-wishers to come to Baleke’s rescue.
