Game Against Police Is Not A Derby – Mutebi

KCCA FC head coach Mike Hillary Mutebi says playing against Police FC is not a derby but rather a good Rivalry.

KCCA will be hosting Police FC tomorrow on Friday 11th March at the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo.

The two sides use the same venue as their home ground, and to some, the game has been termed as the Lugogo Derby.

In their last games, KCCA beat Kyetume FC by 1-0 away from home while Police lost 2-0 to URA FC at Lugogo.

Speaking at the Pre-Match press conference ahead of Friday’s game, Mutebi had this to say;

“Facing Police is not a derby because sharing a stadium doesn’t mean make it one.

“We don’t come from the same area, it’s a good rivarly that will produce good results in the end but not a derby.”

Against Police side, the Kasasiro boys have a good record in the last fixtures having won 15 and drawn 6 times.

But the Gaffer says they are facing a more improved side, on Friday.

“Currently we are going to face a Police side that plays very good football.

“But we expect to be better and pick a good result against them.”

From 14 games played, KCCA are the highest scoring side and Mutebi thinks they will continue with the good run.

“We will continue scoring goals and keep winning our matches.

“The form is pleasing and i hope it continues that way.”

The Kasasiro Boys are facing a Police side that is used to playing on the turf since they share the same stadium.

On this Mutebi says they are prepared for any challenge ahead of them.

“We are prepared as we have always done for any challenge that comes in front of us and willing to play to pick a good result”

“The lads that have represented us in the past are the ones who are going to represent us tomorrow against Police FC.”

KCCA currently sit Fourth on the log with 26 points.
