Preview – Bbosa Seeking For A Reaction From His Side
Express suffered their first loss of the season early this week as they went down 1-0 away to UPDF FC.
The defeat put an end to a 12-match unbeaten start to the campaign, one that had seen them win eight and drawn four of their opening 12 games.
With a title in their sight, the Red Eagles will be expected to bounce back and put their credentials back on track, something their head coach Wasswa Bbosa is positive about.
“Based on the last game we had (loss to UPDF), we have been trying to correct the mistakes we made including defending set plays and also converting our chances. Bbosa told the club’s website.
“We respect Kyetume but we are focused on taking the maximum points and i am sure we shall have a different performance all together.”
The Red Eagles head into the encounter just two points adrift both Vipers SC and URA FC who sit joint top of the log.
With one or both of the Venoms and Tax Collectors expected to drop points, Express know they have a glorious chance to close in on top spot.
Kyetume on the other hand are in desperate need for points after a terrible run that has seen them fail to win any of their last eight encounters.
During that period, they have lost six games and drawn the other two.
The last time the Slaughters registered a victory was in a 1-0 win over BUL FC on match-day six.
They have recently hired Alex Isabirye to replace Livingstone Mbabazi but the move is yet to pay dividends.
Against Express, they know they need to produce a stunning performance so as to get anything out of the game but with a host of experienced players in their ranks, they must be confident that that is not beyond them.
This will be just the two sides second ever meeting.
The only time the two sides met was last season with Express running out 1-0 victors away from home.
