*SC Villa 1-0 Onduparaka
SC Villa scored a late goal to grab all three points against Onduparaka in a StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at Bombo Barracks military ground in Bombo.
Nicholas Kabonge scored with a back-heel off a Gavin Kizito header in the 93rd minute after Onduparaka defended poorly from a corner.
The victory lifts Villa to seventh place with 22 points, leapfrogging Onduparaka who slips to eighth with 21.
It was a strong reaction for Villa who came into the game on the back of a humiliating loss to Vipers at Kitende.
For the Caterpillars, the loss snaps their two-game winning run that had seen the side beat Bright Stars and Mbarara City.
Striker Isaac Ogwang could have put Villa in the lead but saw his header saved by Onduparaka goalkeeper Tony Kyamera.
Villa had two goals ruled out for offside with strikes coming from Francis Olaki and Sekiganda Ronald.
Ssekiganda also had a penalty appeal waved when he was pulled by Hamza Geriga.
Onduparaka danger-man Kabon Living hit the post before Allan Busobozi had his long range shot pulled away by Villa shot stopper Meddie Kibirige.
Kibirige was again called into action with an admirable one-hand save from Geriga’s header. The resultant corner was again punched away by Kibirige.
The Villa shot stopper was booked for a foul on Kabon just outside the box after he was nutmegged by the winger but he later saved the freekick from Okech at the near post.
