Coach Livingston Mbabazi Returns To Mbarara City FC

Charles Livingstone Mbabazi will be officially announced as the new coach for Mbarara City FC.

He returns at the club for the first time since he left in May 2019 after coaching the side for one and half season.

The CAF B License and UEFA Certified coach will take over from interim coach Sadiq Sempigi who will now take the deputy role.

The club reportedly suspended coach Brian Senyondo after he joined the Uganda Cubs camp.

The contract details of coach Mbabazi with Mbarara are yet to be revealed.

Mbabazi was sacked at Kyetume following a string of unconvincing results, leaving after only eight months in office.

The Uganda Cranes assistant coach is expected to be on touchline this Wednesday when his new side Mbarara takes on BUL FC at Kakyeka Stadium.

At his first tenure, Mbabazi handed Ankole Lions their best league position finish ever, when they finished 4th in 2018/19 season, but faces a huge mountain to climb to repeat the same.

The Ankole Lions sit 12th on log with only 13 point prior to the end of league’s first round .

Besides Kyetume FC in both Big league and Premier league, Mbabazi has previously coached Wakiso Giants, Onduparaka for two stints,Bright Stars, Lweza, Masavu and Somalia National Team.
